	LBradley said: This fantasy book is not a "Lord of the Rings"-style world of magic and fantastical creatures. It is a book about human beings, human frailty and ultimately, human strength. Characters are entirely believable with complex, messy lives and a complicated environment. I love it when a book plops me right in the middle of a compelling story, makes me believe that these characters are really out there somewhere, and leaves me pondering my own human biases and frailties.
