The book takes you on a journey as he learns to appreciate the things that really didn't seem like gifts and also teaches that hard work and patience can really pay off in the end. This is a wonderful read with children and can help children understand that everything has a special purpose in life. It may also inspire you and your family to spend some quality time together taking care of a garden. There are so many gifts around us and sometimes we just need to take a moment to be reminded of these wonderful gifts. And learning to be grateful for them can change our lives forever.
