Quill24 said: Powerful! If one word could be used to summarize this entire novel, powerful would be it. Friends Forever . . . . is that really possible? As children we learn to say BFF or Best Friends Forever. But can we, do we, really mean it? For Leah and Laine F.F. (Friends Forever) was what sparked their friendship. The simple text in permanent marker written on Laine's hand by Leah is what started a broken journey of friendship between the two girls. That was fifth grade. Laine shares a secret with Leah, a secret that no one else is supposed to know. A terrible secret. Laine is having a hard time living with this secret and as she grows older the more she hangs out with Leah the more the secret threatens to spill over. Laine is having a hard time living with the past, getting over Leah, and trying to live her life. Can she forgive Leah for all the horrible things that happened in their friendship? Can she keep their secret, that, just a secret? Or will Leah do everything she can to destroy the life that Laine is desperately trying to live. Can F.F. really mean friends forever? Or is it a childhood dream that dissolves after friends come into young adulthood? This is a really great read, and a must read. This novel left a very powerful impact on me, and I'll never forget it. tags: I read, I'm reading, Inspired me, I recommend |
