It was a pleasant surprise to learn that he had written Haiku riddles also (in Hindi) on about 800 varied topics. Recently, his son Rama Kant has compiled and published these Haiku riddles under the title Haiku Pahelyiaan . These riddles have been arranged in seven broad categories viz. mythological, nature, human, entertainment, adornment, food articles, and worldly articles. It is indeed a very difficult task to compose riddles in Haiku form but Radhey Shiam has done it beautifully and skillfully with a natural flow. In my opinion, these Haiku riddles will not only entertain the readers with literary interest but also motivate young minds of children by enhance their power of imagination. ...
