AprilMarie said: An absolute favorite. Definitely one reluctant readers (predominantly male) would enjoy. The depth of the issues are initially overlooked by the ease of reading and entertaining drawings. The story of a boy caught between two worlds, neither of which he fits, is an idea many can relate to. Reading this you are captivated by the raw honesty, you laugh and want to cry and scream all without realizing how huge the issues are that are being tackeld in the book until you pause to reflect and then wow! Sherman kind of tricks his readers into thinking about mature ideas because you are so enthralled in the small stories, not until the end do you see the big picture. Great read!
