Students of all ages are familiar with typical information text but the author’s organization use of Question and Answer is unique and allows for a descriptive response that includes humor (which isn’t always present when reading non-fiction). This humor is also supported through the illustrations. What to Expect is a great book that will appeal to all genders and will specifically spark interest of boy readers. Who wouldn’t love a book that talks about bugs and poop. tags: A must read for bug lovers and curious kids!
