Historian said: This was recommended to me by a friend. I never gave it a second thought because I thought of Ted Dekker as a Christian Stephen King...and I am no fan of Stephen King. But, I relented and said I would read Black. While at the store, Black was not in stock but I could purchase the complete trilogy. So, I went ahead and bought it as it really didn't cost that much more with my coupon then one book. Well, I am THRILLED I bought the complete trilogy! I was hooked from the first page. I read this trilogy so much, I kid you not, I was dreaming of pages with words on it! This book was not a Stephen King novel but rather a C.S. Lewis, Pilgrim's Progress on steroids! Very fast paced...very suspenseful. The illusions to the Bible were brillant. I recommend this book ot anyone who loves fantasy adventure regardless of where you stand spiritually.
