	nanayost said: I purchased this book in a used book store, for my grandchildren, after reading the first few pages. It absolutely terrorized my 3 year old grand-daughter. She cried at the end, I and felt horrible for subjecting her to this violent and threatening tale. I had to make up an alternate ending to comfort her, as the one supplied by the author was sadistic and completely inappropriate for the age of the child it was written for.
