Mardor said: The first novel I actually read by Martin Cruz Smith was GORKY PARK. I immediately went back and read any earlier novels I could lay my hands on, and then continued to read successive novels, including the sadly under-valued (by average readers) STALLION GATE, ROSE and DECEMBER 6 (his stand-alone novels), as well as subsequent books in his "Arkady Renko" series. Martin Cruz Smith is one of the finest writers alive -- not one of the finest _mystery_ writers, or _suspense_ writers -- simply one of the finest writers. Period. tags: Inspired me |
