I'm so impressed by Bean's illustrations which immediately remind you of Wanda Gag. Bean uses only black, red, and brown to create these folky characters. The animals are especially engaging. Cheers to the designer who used a beautiful red foil on the cover which works perfectly with the understated illustrations.
