I am the principal of a small private school in Austin, Texas. I am a writer, trying to get a first book published. I have taught creative writing, composition I & II, and English. Prior to my experience in education, I have been a Felony Adult Probation Officer. I have a BA in Criminal Justice and in Psychology. I have a MS in Educational Psychology and a Phd. In Psychology with the emphasis on Education. I have always surrounded myself with children. I have four of my own, six grandchildren, and four hundred in my school position (which I have held for 33 years) as principal. If it has to do with children, I have probably "done it". I have been a swim teacher, Girl Scout Leader, Cub Scout Den Mother, baseball coach, taught ballet, tap, jazz and gymnastics, Sunday School teacher, pre-school teacher, and sponsored a dance team on a tour of Russia, Denmark, and Sweden. I have wanted to be a published writer since 8th grade when I announced it to my class as "What I want to do in my life."
