By day, I'm a (sometimes) mild-mannered art teacher, and I'm passionate about sharing my love of art with my students. I have been an aspiring children's book writer and illustrator for a number of years, but I have only recently begun to actively pursue publication of my work in the children's market.

As a college student I was thrilled to be part of a team of artists who illustrated Wesley Eure's "A Fish Out of Water" (Pelican, 2000). Following graduation and that small, intoxicating taste of being "published" I entered the non-profit art world, continued to freelance and, eventually, somehow ended up teaching art to often enthusiastic, occasionally perplexing, but always and endlessly inspiring young artists.

Over the years and through all of life's little hiccups, my desire to pursue publication of my own books has only grown, and so here I am, and here I shall stay. It's about time.
