About Jan

Although it's a hoot to see my age as 16 on my profile, I must be honest and admit to being 53. I'm an 8th grade English teacher at Longfellow Middle School. My classes are quite diverse. Our student population is 60% free and reduced lunch, 40% special education, and 35% minority.

I just received a grant to buy young-adult fiction class sets of books. Any recommendations you have would be greatly appreciated. I believe I have enough money to buy 6 different titles.
