Hi, I'm Julie Bowe, author of My Last Best Friend (Harcourt, 2007) and My New Best Friend (Harcourt, 2008). A third book in the series (My Best Frenemy) will be released on May 13, 2010 with Dial. It's kind of funny how some books get the awards and others who might be more deserving, don't. I think, like anything else in life, that it's partly luck and partly political. The way of the world!

Thanks for inviting Bill and me to be your friend. I like Augsburg Press. My mom grew up in Rice Lake, Wisc. and I still have relatives there and in Eau Claire. Wisconsin is real Norman Rockwell country.
