I am a lover of juvenile literature, from infant cloth books to young adult novels. What irks me is writers of materials for adults who think writing for the young is easy. All I can say is, nothing can be further from the truth. I'm not even a writer and I know that. Love David Wiesner's books. I'm particularly fond of "Tuesday" and use it frequently in discussions of how outstanding illustrations work for and with text. I've used it often in school classes as well. I'd be happy to participate. I'm always looking for ways to advance literac... more
