I am so happy to have discovered this site. I am a 40 something year old woman who is finally living her dream by creating artwork and illustrations that will hopefully take me into the world of Children's Book Illustrations.

I am a mom of two really great kids, who support and encourage me with my work. My youngest is my "critique" specialist. I know that if he likes it, then it must be okay.

I have been drawing and painting since I was really young, and in my spare time, that is what I still love to do. I have probably tried working in every meduim under the sun. I have worked in watercolor, prismacolor, oil, pastels, pen and ink, guache, and now...I work primarily with acrylics, which I am in love with.

I love animals too, and paint them often.

For years I was discouraged from following my dream, mostly for financial reasons. But recently, there have been many people in my life who have suffered illnesses and other setbacks. Time is precious, and I really don't want to look back at my life with regrets.

So...here I am trying to enter a very competative field, as green as they come and older than most. But I have nothing to loose. I love to create, and if what I create goes nowhere then I still had fun doing it.

Here's to "finding joy in the journey".
