An artist since childhood, Zoe Ranucci never had to ponder the question "what do I want to be when I grow up?" After graduating from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1993 she moved to Cleveland, Ohio to start her career. She worked for 7 years as an art director for an ad agency until she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2002 and took the opportunity to begin her freelance venture. This also offered the opportunity to pursue more illustrative projects.

Currently, Zoe runs an independent graphic design and illustration studio out of her home and is enjoying great success. To date she has illustrated 3 full color children's picture books, 2 books of poetry in pencil, and a 112 page workbook for teachers in which she provided a pen and ink illustration per page and a watercolor cover.
