I am a senior lecturer in library and information studies at the University of the West Indies, so I am also a librarian. One of my main areas of interests is children's literature, especially as it relates to the Caribbean. I have done major research and publication in this field.

I have had two children's books published --Manny and the Mermaid in 1987 and Jojo's Treasure Hunt issued by Carlong Publishers, 2003. This is for children 10-12 years old. I am currently writing another novel which I hope will be finsihed by 2010.
