About Barry
A 1960-70' freelance magazine photographer / writer with credits all the way from "San Francisco Magazine" and "Chronicle Sunday Bonanza" rotogravure , and house organ travel magazines as "Ford Times", "Volkswagen's Small World," and "Ladies Home Companion", "Popular Mechanics", etc, as raising three children on an intermittent income required some fast fingers on an old fashioned portable typewriter.
The breakthrough to longer articles came through seven pages of text and photos in "LIFE Magazine", soon followed by" Holiday", and "Scope" in South Africa, etc.

This was followed by producing a 12 page PCT brochure for the US Forest Service, a number of horse magazine pieces, so "the book" was delayed again after the family went off to produce a 16-mm documentary of paddling 2000 miles by kayak down the Yukon River.
Barry's first book," I Want A Horse", was self published under a Shadow Catcher Ranch imprint. Thanks to Bowker's library list it is now in it's 6th printing, as an e-book that somehow has come nowhere in sales as ink on paper.
With the release of the book and movie "Wild" , Barry got back to work finishing a longer PCT book, with a shorter title than www.SearchForaShadowofthepast.com.and is looking for a book publisher of quality.
