I am a retired public school educator. Medically retired after 35 years of service, I taught secondary grades 6 - 12, and some continuing education courses at our local community college. My wife and I have been married 39 years. We have a daughter, a rescued basset hound, and a rescued cat. I am now a self-employed freelancer. I read both print and electronic books. My e-reading device of choice is a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 Nook 8" with Nook, Kindle, several multiform at e-readers as well.

I belong to Goodreads and there I participate in the Annual Reading Challengesnfor both the Goodreads General and Annual Science Fiction / Fantasy Book Club Reading Challenges. I love to read, and I review all read work. My genres of choice are "hard science" fiction, fantasy (still getting my reading legs under me here), history, aviation, and space exploration both manned and unmanned.
