Othen Donald Dale Cummings was born in Pryor Creek, Oklahoma. Raised on a small farm, he attended Pryor High School and started working his first job at the age of 16 for Arby's Roast Beef. His mother Margaret J Cummings suffered a stroke during a major surgery.
Staying with his Mother and trying to come up with different ideas to keep her mind active he decided to draw and write a story called Wendall he had thought about. His mother loved it so he decided to go a step further and try to get it published.
His mother always talked about a pet banana so he also wrote a story about "My pet banana" for his mother. a pet banana production was born.
He later published a pet banana as a rhyme/story.
The original story remains unpublished.
