About Lad
Lad Moore is a former executive of a Fortune 500 Corporation who left the boardroom in 1998 to pursue his passion for writing. He bought a small ranch near Caddo Lake, TX and began his publishing work. To date his work has appeared in over 500 venues, including the NY Times' Best-Selling Chicken Soup for the Soul. In addition, and he has published three books of his own short stories. In his first book "Odie Dodie," many of the stories follow the slick con-man schemes of a circus-huckster-turned-traveling -revival-preacher, bilking what he calls "the corn crop faithful." His two other volumes, "Tailwind," and "Riders of the Seven Hills," are a mix of fact and fiction about his life, and the thought- provoking/appealing characters whose paths he crossed in a most intriguing life of adventure in Asia and small-town USA. He summarizes this period of his life in one sentence--"those days of cotton-mouths and cotton candy."
Lad has received many citations and awards; among them The Silver Quill, and a Best-Fiction nomination to the Texas Institute of Letters.
