I'm a food writer and novelist. I've written seven cookbooks and a novel called The Camel Trail. It won an award for the Best Food Literature Book in 2007. That's because it has a short recipe or hint at the beginning of each chapter, linking it to the dramatic and sometimes tragic events that happen to the characters.

The cookbook I'm most proud of is Lookit Cookit - kitchen games for curious children.. It's a new way of looking at food, through games, experiments and quizzes.

I also have a blog about "Food, cooking, children, quotes, books and life". Every day I put up a short post with a yummy photo. It's called The Armchair Kitchen and it has over 25,000 followers.

My most recent novel is called SEXTET. It was chosen as one of ten outstanding books when it was launched last year. It's a page turning story of music and adultery.
