I am Hawaii local girl who decided that being a mother and nurse isn't enough to do...that's when I began writing for children! I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. As a young keiki (child), I loved reading whatever captured my attention. My visits to the bookmobile and library were times that I looked foward to. Once my head was buried within the story, it was difficult to pull me out. I did not want to put that book down until I was done! Writing, though did not interest me when I was younger. I loved to be just the reader, which is why I then started down another path to become a nurse, which I still am today. But after having my first child, reading took on a different meaning for me. Reading to my son was like looking at books for the first time. I saw the story through his eyes and his interpretation of the story. He would point out objects or landscapes and would want to know more about it. It was his curiosity that led me to go back to the path of writing. I now want to write fun, family friendly stories for children to enjoy!
