About Donna
Being a free-lance graphic artist, it has always been my dream to write and illustrate children’s books. I have several stories/projects I've written, and I've illustrated some, but the only thing ever really published was a comic strip in a military newspaper (The Patriot) in Georgia some 20 years ago...this has after all, been a dream that has always sat on the back-burner--until now. I'm pulling out my stories and sketchpads and am determined to FINALLY do something with the talents that God has given me. I am surrounding myself in children's literature and any networking sources I can find to guide me in achieving this dream.Three values which drive my life are:1. Inner peace—I want to feel a sense of accomplishment each day when I go to bed; that I learned something new, helped someone in need, or just made a difference somehow and that God is pleased.2. My family—Although my children are young adults, I hope to always be an inspiration to them that it’s never too late to fulfill your dreams.3. Strong work ethic—I don’t want anything that I haven’t achieved on my own through hard work, honesty and integrity. If I can make a living using my God-given talents, that's just the icing on the cake!
