I've been an illustrator since 1976, most notably a courtroom illustrator for an ABC affiliate in Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania, WNEP-TV. In 1990, I accepted a teaching position at Bishop O'Hara High School. I continued to work both jobs for almost 3 years. I am now teaching full time, except for covering an occasional trial on a freelance basis. I hold a BA in fine art and art education, and an MA in studio art/illustration.
I also draw and paint portraits in oils and pastels, of both people and animals. I work as a mural artist together with my daughter, Colleen, who holds an MFA in illustration. She is an illustrator of childrens' books as well as a freelance artist, and we work together at Gedrich Illustrations, Inc.
