I'm a retired elementary school teacher, taught
primary grades and bought many books for kids
over the years.

I love children's books, especially good writing
and always check out either picture books,
chapter books for higher elementary and now
I have gone into teen books.

I have written one picture book but did not pursue
getting it published.

For a few years now I have been a member of Children's Book Insider and get their monthly
newsletter which is very informative and supportive
of those who want to write children's literature.

I think it's safe to say I am intimidated by the
world of publishing, but love to write.
