In the story of Hans Christian Andersen, I found the perfect stimulus to my imagination. I have been drawing and painting since i was old enough to hold a paintbrush and pencil.

As a young child, i was always encouraged by my mother who was extremely gifted as an artist. I made untold numbers of drawings including large posters and murals of people and life-forms in Nature, some-times as large as my bedroom could cope with.

It has been an honour to have had the opportunity to express my appreciation of a man such as Hans Christian Andersen, his stories i grew up with, remaining with me ever since and i believe that the best fantasy is that which is based on reality, a formula Hans Christian Andersen used so successfully.
