I am an avid collector of children's books. As I particularly like different versions of 'Alice' I would quite like to leave that illustration instead of a photo! I currently teach on a degree course on Early Years Education Studies at Newman University College in Birmingham. I spend a great deal of my time trying to excite students about the wealth of wonderful children's picture books that are now available- sometimes successfully. I am also a PhD student at Leicester University and my research is looking at what drives Early Years practitioner selection of picture books that relate to the issue of disability. If anyone out there is interested in becoming a participant - that would be great. I look forward to hearing from some of you.
