I'm writing my first children's novel now. It has all my favorite things in it: witches, dogs, cats, flying broomsticks, talking crows, hexes, curses, magic potions, etc. So I will enjoy reading it myself, even if it never gets published!

I'm working on an MFA in children's literature at Hollins University in Roanoke, VA. I am an English-as-a-Second-Language teacher. I do some freelance journalism. I've lived in Japan, Singapore and Malaysia. I share my life with three dogs and two cats.

My favorite children's authors include "Lemony Snicket", Edward Eager, Eleanor Estes and L. Frank Baum.
