Although new to writing for children, I’m a published non-fiction writer and editor with experience in public communications and academic publishing in the U.S.A., U.K., and Europe. I took a zigzag route through a broad variety of professional environments, business, legal, and academic, as well as spending a lot of time herding cats—oops, I meant orchestral management. I’ve also taught piano and music theory to private students (amazing how many people ain’t got rhythm) in the U.S.A and U.K. for many years. Every step in this maze of a career has involved a lot of writing and editing on a wild range of topics from small business law to Beethoven. And now I find that writing for children is even more fun!
