From her years of experience in a school media center, Kathleen launched LibraryGames.com, creating educational games, professional books, videos and music CDs for schools and public libraries. She teamed up with Lisa Downey and wrote THE PIRATES OF PLAGIARISM (Upstart 2010), a fun book that teaches kids what plagiarism is and how to avoid it. Her next picture book, A BOOK IS JUST LIKE YOU!, explores the parts of a book in a quirky, humorous way. It will be released Fall 2011.

Kathleen won the runner-up 2010 Work-In-Progress Award from the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators for her middle grade novel THE DOG (now titled ATWON’S CODE). She lives in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina with her husband Steve.
