Hi,
I've written and published a few history books -- one on Overmountain Press. I illustrated it, too, with my camera and many lenses. From the year 2004 to 2008, I worked as a paraeducator ("Teacher's Aide") at a school here in Maryland which taught children from the ages of five on up to seventeen. And sometimes even 21! I loved the kids and they loved me. I think I can write some amusing and educational books for youngsters. I think I can even write some illuminating books for them, which means "to light up" or "make clear". I have a friend who also writes for Overmountain Press named Denvil Mullins. He is very good at writing for children! Perhaps he can teach me a few things. I like writing about ogres and princesses and knights in armor. But even more, I enjoy writing about people and their lives as they really were in the past. I am a retired newspaper writer, but I still write books and use my cameras to make pictures for them. I live in Bel Air, Maryland, with my wife Janet. But for a long, long time I lived in Southwest Virginia, where they have those awesomely tall mountains and those deep endless woods.
