I'm a wife, mother and grandmother living in a small town called Cygnet in Southern Tasmania.

I write books for children and my current publishers are are Omnibus/Scholastic Australia and Penguin Australia. For For Omnibus I've written "Dulcie and Dud and the Really Dumb Play", "Dulcie and Dud Give a Really Big Party","Dulcie and Dud and the Really Secret Secret", "Dulcie and Dud and the Really Cool Club" for readers 6-9 years, as well as "Once There Were Mermaids", for 11-13 year-olds and "A Brief History of the Island of Dipsquittie" (under the rather tongue-in-cheek pseudonym, Professor Walter Loder-Bull) for 8-12 years. My latest book for Omnibus, "Captain Blunderbolt' , for readers 5-8 years, has just been released (October 2011).

"Tansy Magill" is my first book for Penguin, one of the popular Aussie Nibbles series, it will be published early in 2012.



I guess I'm best known for writing funny books, but my
plans for 2010 include tackling more serious topics. I also have some ideas for picture/story books that I'd
like to have a go at. I guess all you writers know the
Note Scribbling Syndrome, where you have notebooks brimming with brilliant ideas and all you have to do is actually sit down and write the books!
