About Peter
Hello,
and welcome to me...
I've been employed in the television industry for years and have currently started a new leg of life's employment journey, working within the world of academia.
Just recently, a letter from a friend described me as a renaissance man, someone with the ability to do anything he sets his mind to. I thought this was an astute observation because it's how (mostly) I see myself.
I've put my hand to a large variety of things and there have been few, besides plumbing that have managed to elude my understanding and accomplishment. I seem to have been everything from a retail sales manager to a boat builder! I have a head full of ideas that are constantly renewing themselves, seemingly by their own volition and I could at any moment switch my focus in any one of a dozen different directions!
This may seem to some like a fantastic and enviable condition to find oneself in, but I assure you that it has the same effect on one's life as adding too much water to your watercolor paint, or too much pepper to your egg salad sandwich, that is, useful in some situations but generally not of much practical use.
I'm a jack of all trades and a master of none, which points to the fact that all that life experience and knowledge hasn't ever had much functionality, outside of advise to my friend on proper roof structure, or fixing the dryer... until now.
I'm at the juncture of my latest endeavor: Writing!
I've finally discovered that life experience is a goldmine for the writer. Who knows how it will end up, though! Stay tuned for the thrilling outcome. Or maybe not so thrilling.
Any feedback is welcome, hecklers excepted.
