Hi, my name is Hayden, and I love to read and I love to write. I also love Horses. I love lots of other things too, like singing.

I am really excited because I am almost finished the first book of my brand new tween / teen series. As a writer, I thrive on reading books by other authors - I love it when an author comes up with an amazing idea or story. I love books that keep you on the edge of your seat and surprise you. The series I am working on is unique, but I love checking out what other writers are doing in the genres that I write in - YA and tween.

I mentioned that I love to write AND I love horses, so the series is about a girl named Madison who is 12, riding, lessons, competition, and barn stuff, with a lot of other things going on as well. Madison is trying to make sense of a new life, and her past is something of a mystery. As her story unfolds, so do her secrets.

The first book is not quite finished and there is LOTS of editing to do to get it just right. I'm something of a perfectionist when it comes to my work. I hope to share bits and pieces of the book and the process of creating it, so I have a website and blog.

I have written for magazines and newspapers. I was also an editor in my school newspaper. This yet to be titled book is my first longer novel.
