About charlene
I'm on the search pursuing to blossom my dreams of becoming a children's book illustrator. I am great at free handing and I zoom imagination off into reality as I sketch...I've won several awards for my artwork back in school. To create my masterpieces, my tools of design are pencils, colored pencils, and watercolors. I would love to find some representation. It's always been my inspiration to get into a local newspaper, or children's book. I will not put a haul to my dreams, and my motto is, "if I can't make it fast, I'll make it there slowly, so I can deeply achieve my goal." As of now, I'll keep on making projects for myself to compliment my portfolio. I'm known to be ambitious, and driven, and was always a diligent person. I never forgot my passions. You may want to ask me who inspired me into all my desires, and that answer would have to be my father. Although, it's been something innate, since I could move a limb and got my pencil and crayon box. During my childhood my father would hang around home, watching me drilled into my notepad, or drawing pad, so he'd come to give me mini sketch lessons. I'd laugh at the little people characters he'd draw. He's AMAZING! he's done canvas work in his youthful years. I have to say they were his treasures on our walls as a kid. The story ends here, when I tell you my father handed me the newspaper every sunday of the week in two articles, one of the front page report, and the second was the CoMIC Section. Oh! how I loved to see the comics every week.My inspiration was also the Artist CATHY.who created the comic,"CATHY." Her work was eye catching. I loved her comic scripts, too. I really liked Garfield too, considering my brothers another prolific artist. he's my THIRD INSPIRATION. I used to follow him everyday in the house, and sit by his door, to visit him drawing up a storm of work. He's magnificent!!!! Such a NATURAL at it. He won awards throughout high school, and still continues to this day, and he had something I wanted to become. I knew it was one of my firey passions. I just had to get myself out there. Since forever art has been my hobby, now I want it to be a second career, My poetry book is up for sale on all online stores, and in barnes& noble brick stores, by request. Now, I'm in the process of creating a sample book for my profile viewers to checkout... I thank the lord above, everyday for all he's praised me with. I won't waste this life by quitting....I'm just keeping my positivity going, keeping hope & all my faith. Most of all, I'm keeping it consistent, in a never-ending fairy-tale, at least that way there still live dreams & I never die.
