We have many coincidences, my Aunt and Uncle lived in Olathe, Kansas until they made the big move to Osawatomie, Kansas (I'm sure you know where this town is located). My brother attended College of the Ozarks in Branson, Missouri, and now resides in Springfield, Missouri.

I am an unpublished writer and have been writing my children's series and learning the publishing process for the past four years. I have recently been laid-off from my elementary librarian position and feel that I have learned which stories children respond to.

I have completed the first two of my children's picture book social studies series, geared toward ages 5-7. My series is aligned to kindergarten-first grade standards. I have had interest from Barnes and Noble locations in southern California to host signings for my manuscript once it is published. I was also included in an L.A. Times article, which covered the 2010 L.A. Times Festival of Books, held at the UCLA campus.
