The first five books of the Earth Children's series were captivating and well written. The last book entitled The Painted Caves was a grave disappointment. This story written as though a series of ideas were strung out on a time line and connected with conjunctions. This book lacks integrity. In my opinion The Painted Caves was not written by the same author as the first five books.
