This comment is regarding Connie Willis, and her introduction to the audio book version of George Stewart's Earth Abides. I wrote to GRS after reading the book, and to cut a long story short, he died about a month before my letter reached him.
From that letter, I was invited by Thodosia (Ted) Stewart to come to UC Berkeley and view all of his writings in the Bancroft.
During this visit, I mer Don Scott,who nick named me "The Pilgrim" as I had been drawn across the world (my first flight - London to San Francisco!) by this incredible story.
