Joaquin Cera (Barcelona? (Spain) 1968?-…) is a great Spanish writer/illustrator specialized in humoristic comics. He began his career at “Bruguera” publishing house when he was about 18 years old.

The first Cera’s work published was “Capitán Fundimoso” (MORTADELO ESPECIAL Nº202). In the same collection, a few numbers later, a series call “Rebuznos en el Espacio” (“Brayings in the Space”) was published for several weeks. This work won a prize.

Only a few months later, in 1986, “Bruguera” firma became “Ediciones B”. He is working here from then.

His most famous comic creation –until now- is “Pafman”, a funny superhero parody. It was started about 1986 as short format histories (2-4 pages) but nowadays there are several books (one per year from 2004): "Pafman redevuelve", "La noche de los vivos murientes", "Pafman in U.S.A" and "Cabezones del espacio". OK, I am going to (try) translate them: “Pafman re-returns”, “The night of dying alive men”, “Pafman in USA”(easy ;)) and “Pigheaded ones from the Space”.

Cera has others well-knowledge creations like “Dr.Pacostein”, and “Xunguis” (working together with Ramis). Too with Ramis, they made new books of the Escobar’s classic “Zipi & Zape”.

He has working too as TV and cartoons scriptwriter.
