Helen Page was born in Charleston, West Virginia on Oct 1, 1909. She graduated from Pratt Institute in New York City and became an illustrator of greeting cards, children's books, and paper dolls. Her artwork, generally in water colors, has a gentle serene quality, with pastel colors that seem to glow.
