Eleanor McLeod is from Swansea in Wales and it was when she began her primary school teaching in 1966 that she started writing poems for her pupils. Her colleagues urged her to publish some of her large collection and so in 2005 her first collection of poems "Poems for Children to Enjoy and Teachers too" was published and became an instant success. It has now been republished Her second book, "More Poems for Children to Enjoy - and Teachers Too" is currently available too. Immensely accessible, with the majority in a rhyming format, they cover seasonal topics as well as personal favourites such as school, family or animals and will be invaluable for teachers, as well as enjoyed by children.Now available also is the first collection of monologues and duologues for young performers, based on fairy tale characters. These are sold individually by Eleanor herself or in packs of 8 for classroom work by the american publisher Meriwether.
