"Clouds covered the midday sun and a dark mist seemed to roll up from around the bend. Dip squinted and sniffed the air. A faint oily scent reached him and he began to run back down the road. Glancing behind, he noticed the mist closing on him and his teeth ground on particles of dirt and grit.

Not mist he realised, but dirt churning into the air and he froze, staring at a group of Spartan warriors in full battle gear charging towards him."


A Spartan General has received his oracle from Apollo�s priestess at Delphi. He plans to use this prophecy to conquer Athens and the rest of the Greek city-states. However, 14 year old Dip has also been given his oracle and races to warn the Athenians. With the Spartans pursuing him, Dip must use his training to save his friends and reach the Athenians.

Although a work of fiction, Racing Apollo provides a backstory to perhaps the most pivotal battle in the history of Ancient Greece.
