Best friends Devin and Frankie really don�t like school. To make matters worse, they realize they have an English test on The Adventures of Tom Sawyer in seven minutes, and they haven�t read the book. After hiding out to avoid the test, they accidentally drop a priceless Mark Twain autograph between the library�s broken security gates. Once again, the magic "zapper" gates catapult the friends straight into the pages of a book-this time it�s The Adventures of Tom Sawyer!

Before the two can escape the book, they must join forces with Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn to solve a murder, become pirates, and find hidden treasure. Devin and Frankie may be lazy, but even they have a lot to learn from Tom Sawyer, the king of slackers!
