"When Continental Electric Company receives approval from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to build a nuclear power plant in the Great Smoky Mountains, the Cherokee tribe vows to stop the project. Concerned about the potential hazards posed by a nuclear reactor in their homeland, the Cherokees make a stand against the authorities at Tomahawk Lake and they elect militant Sioux leader Willy Gates to be their War Chief.
