Samarah White is more than an unassuming clerk at a used book store. She has a secret. That secret is briefly revealed to her victims when her fangs spring out and she leaps upon them. The long white daggers are the last thing they ever see as Samarah is the last of the Royal Dragons, an elite vampire clan which has roamed the planet since the dawn of time. But her family is gone now, killed in a war with a rival clan, and Samarah is trying to survive alone in a world that is trying to kill her. She must find a way to reestablish her clan; she must become the next matriarch of the Royal Dragons. The future of her lineage rests firmly atop the shoulders of Samarah.
