In 2020, Daniel McKnight, a high ranking government official and biologist, who has cofounded a state-of-the-art, cryo-preservation laboratory, aquarium and sanctuary, Noah's Freezer, reveals a childhood secret-he has been in contact with extraterrestrials for most of his life. This fact places him and the ones he loves in great jeopardy, when a strange object attaches itself to the orbiting space station. This enigmatic orb, that can alter human consciousness, immediately becomes the focus of sinister government operatives who attempt to keep it a secret.

They try to break Daniel, as his friends plan to reveal the real truth of the "Mind Orb." These events are paralleled by the daunting problem of protecting and nurturing the first cloned mammoth-a project he and his partner Adrian Charles created at Noah's Freezer.

Side by side with this, the reader will see the world of 2020, where the planet is threatened with global warming and other ecological hazards. With this also are brave successes in sustaining the planet, while counteracting devastating natural disasters and dreadful environmental mistakes.

A fearless Boston psychiatrist enters the action to help Daniel cope with the alien strangeness that has surrounded him since childhood. Christina, a scientist like himself, whose special robot mission is preparing to go below the ice of Europa-one of Jupiter's moons-to look for primitive life, collaborates with Daniel's friends to save him. The books exciting conclusion introduces a strange and beautiful extraterrestrial woman, who eventually assists them in their mission.
