While touring this world famous destination city, rich history is woven into the landscape including Mission Delores, Victorian houses, Nob Hill, Telegraph Hill, Chinatown, and North Beach. Enjoy the incredible views from high atop Twin Peaks and Coit Tower, as well as the festive Fisherman's Wharf, bustling Union Square, and of course the famous Golden Gate Bridge, all captured in extraordinarily detailed vibrant watercolor illustrations by this talented author/illustrator, Karen Dean.

Brandon's goal through the entire book is to reach the striking Golden Gate Bridge, so he can go back home and report about it to his class at school. His frustration builds as he gets almost close enough by bus, and then right under it by boat where it is hidden by a dense fog! Finally, near the end of their trip, they go excitedly over the bridge by bus on a clear day to tour the majestic Muir Woods. Brandon's quest is finally fulfilled.
