How much do our children know about the world they live in?

There is a need for this series--books that focus, in some detail, on individual countries. How much do our children know about the world they live in? Not as much as they could or should! For kids doing school projects, going on vacation, or interested in their ancestry, the World-Wise Kids Project Guides will be invaluable. There is nothing else on the market remotely like this: there are a bunch of children's atlases, several books on peoples of the world, and a few one-off titles, but nothing approaching the scope and ambition of this series. Each book is edited by an education professional, and covers Culture, Costume, Animals, Plants, Geography, Education, Religion, Food, Art, Traditions, Politics and much more. The books are internet-linked, with web addresses on every page, and a mini-CD ROM attached that includes links to 50 websites, and contains up to 200 images that kids can print for school projects; the disk will also contain the national anthem for each country, as well as examples of traditional folk music. This will be the start of a major series, which will also cover states, cities and continents. So the next time a child you know is given a school project on a country or a state, you will know exactly where to turn.
